Wester Caputh Farmhouse & Steading are located in the heart of Perthshire.

You can find us in the peaceful village of Caputh, 4 miles east of Dunkeld on The River Tay.

The House sleeps 8 in 4 rooms (2 twin, 2 double), with 2 sitting-rooms – 1 with wood burning stove, the other with an open fire.  There is a large elevated garden which has a wonderful south facing view over the River Tay and the trees of Murthly Estate. It has a sheltered area with BBQ for relaxing with a bottle of wine or your book for those lazy evenings! There is off-road parking and secure storage if required for bikes and other equipment.

The Steading sleeps up to 17 people in 5 bunk bedrooms (2x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x6) and there is a large comfortable living and dining area with wood-burning stove and a kitchen equipped for all your needs.  Outside is a paved patio area and a large grassy area to the rear with picnic benches and charcoal BBQ.

The nearby historic town of Dunkeld is delightful and centred around a medieval square and Cathedral.  Perthshire is truly beautiful with stunning scenery and we are extremely well positioned to explore the surrounding countryside and all it’s treasures – Perthshire 'Big Tree Country' encompasses Europe’s oldest tree and the world’s tallest hedge!

“This is the loveliest hostel that I have stayed in to date. It is more of a ‘home’ than a hostel. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.“
